Minou Afzali

Minou Afzali is professor at Bern University of the Arts HKB and teaches Design with Social Impact at the MA Design. She worked for ten years as a professional designer in the area of product, furniture, exhibition and communication design. Since 2008 Minou Afzali is a design researcher at the Institute of Design Research (IDR). Her research focusses on design in social contexts, such as healthcare and intercultural contexts. She is coordinator of the interdisciplinary research group Health Care Communication Design (HCCD) and holds a PhD in Social Anthropology on the role of design in culture-specific nursing homes.
